The Nemonite Invasion - Cover

Photobucket
Previously reported was the news on the release of the new audio CD, The Nemonite Invasion, but we had no details or covers. Now, thanks to Doctor Who Online, we have the full cover, and a bit more information than we had before. Even though Donna has now left the Doctor in the series, she is still in this audio, and it has now been confirmed that the whole thing will be read by her! And the Doctor is the same as he was, the 10th Doctor, even if we don't hear his voice throughout it. No synopsis has been released for the product yet, but we can assume that it won't be long until it will be. We now know that the CD will be avaliable in the UK and Ireland on the 12th of February next year, with the RRP price of £9.99. You can see the full cover here!

The Abominable Snowman CD

The Abominable Snowman was a Classic Series story, first shown in 1967. The BBC have now confirmed that the story will go on sale as an audiobook in January next year. Many other Classic Series Adventures are doing the same; coming out as an audio. The story way back then featured Patrick Troughton as the second Doctor, and this CD will also be read by him. The story was originally written by Terrance Dicks for the show. In the set, there will be a total of four discs, with over four hours of content! You can see the cover of the disc in small on the left. The CD will be released on 8th of January next year and will be on sale at the RRP price of £17.99.

4 New CDs Are Released

Four new audio CDs have been released today. They are two new Sarah Jane Adventures audiobooks, exclusive from the series, and The Time Warrior and The Krotons from the Classic Series.

  • The Sarah Jane CDs follow the two ones released last year, that were called 'The Thirteenth Stone' and 'The Glittering Storm'. These two new ones have the intriguing titles of 'Ghost House' and 'Time Capsule'. The stories feature the four main characters, Sarah Jane, Luke Clyde, with Rani this time, instead of Maria. You can view the covers above, along with the Classic Series covers Ghost House is written by Steven Cole, and Time Capsule, Peter Anghelides. Both stories are read by Elizabeth Sladen, who plays Sarah Jane Smith in the show. The items are on sale at the RRP price of £5.99 each.
  • The Time Warrior is written by Terrance Dicks and read by Jeremy Bulloch. It was the first Sontaran story, and featured the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane. The Krotons is written by Robert Holmes and is a soundtrack from the story, but includes a bonus interview with Frazer Hines. It features the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe and their encounter with the Krotons. You can view the synopses for both CDs here! The Time Warrior costs £17.99 and The Krotons at £13.99.

Listen to the Music...

Some very kind user on YouTube has bought the soundtrack already of Silva Screen Records and has uploaded all the tracks so we can hear them. The same person let us hear the Torchwood Soundtrack early as well! This is great if you are still waiting for the soundtrack to be released, so you can hear all your favourite tracks a bit earlier. But, you may not want to listen to them, if you want to hear it for the first time, when you buy it. You can view this playlist here, on Youtube, or view it below. You can pre-order the CD on the Silva Screen Website via here for £9.99 post free, or you can order it on Amazon here for £8.99! You cannot download this on iTunes at this stage.

The Music is Downloadable Now!

Silva Screen Records have released the Series 4 Soundtrack on their website! It is avaliable to download at 79p a track (mp3), and the whole album for £7.99. If you want to get the music earlier this would be a great opportunity, but if you wanted the real CD as well, it would be a bit of a waste of money! So I would suggest if you want to have the music, only buy a very small number of your favourites! Others of you might just get this, and not the real CD when it comes out on 17th November this year, but that's your choice! I've downloaded some of my favourites, including Song of Freedom and a few others like The Rueful Fate of Donna Noble. From what I've heard already, it sounds amazing! You can pre-order the CD on the Silva Screen Website via here for £9.99 post free, or you can order it on Amazon here for £8.99! You cannot download this on iTunes at this stage. If you pre-order the whole CD to come to your door, then the great thing is it will come on the day of release or earlier! I'm not lying, as when i got my Torchwood Soundtrack, released in November, it came three days early! What will you do?

Series 4 Soundtrack Trailer

This trailer is slightly old now, but I haven't seen it anywhere else, so there is a new trailer for the soundtrack of the fourth series of Doctor Who. Silva Screen have released this on Youtube, just like they did with the Torchwood one not too long before it was due out. There isn't much new to learn about from the trailer, but it's still quite exciting! The music played in it is the Doctor Who theme tune, and the video shows picture of the Doctor and Donna and Daleks and such. The soundtrack itself will be out on 17th November 2008, at the RRP price of £9.99. It has twenty seven tracks on it, including such pieces like the new version of the Doctor's Theme and the fantastic song from the end of last season, Song of Freedom. You can view the track list of the soundtrack here in an earlier post. You can view the trailer below;
