Final figures released by BARB give episode Nine of Series Four, Forest of the Dead, an official rating of 7.84 million viewers.
The episode saw the series edge back into the weekly top ten, just beaten by the two main soaps and The Apprentice. Doctor Who beat one episode of EastEnders and one episode of Coronation street in the final ratings.
The Sunday repeat on BBC3 which was watched by 0.82 million viewers and was the 7th most watched programme on multi-channel for the week.
The Saturday showing of Doctor Who Confidential got 0.87 million viewers making it the 5th most watched multi-channel programme.
