Obituary: Ian McKay

It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of Doctor Who fan; Ian McKay.

Ian was a much-loved member of Doctor Who fandom. He attended many of the UK based Doctor Who conventions with his son Peter, and DWO had the great pleasure of meeting him at Invasion (2007).

It is terribly sad when we lose someone from the show, but when it's a fellow fan (one of our own), it is even more upsetting, especially someone who was so well-liked as Ian.

DWO would like to extend its sympathies to Ian's friends and family, in particular his son Peter.
