The New Doctor In Need

On Terry Wogan's morning show today, he revealed that the casting for the next Doctor might be revealed on Children In Need night. Terry has a major part in Children In Need, so if he says something like that, he most likely will not be fibbing. Of course, he didn't officially confirm that it would happen, just a possibility, so he's started thinking about it. It is not yet known, however, if Steven Moffat has chosen the next Doctor or not, but it could be too early to find out yet, so don't get your hopes up. Apparently, it might be a good fund raiser for the event, for charity, which makes it an even higher possibility that it will happen. Also, sources have picked up on an article in Doctor Who Magazine, way back in 1999, saying that Steven Moffat would prefer an older Doctor; more of a grandfather looking upon the universe, than a dashing, young hero. But since then, it is very likely that he has changed his mind, saying not so long ago that he would like to keep a younger actor in the role. Tennant Coverage; Breakfast Video & Billie for Doctor?

On Monday, David Tennant featured on the BBC Breakfast show, after the suprise announcement of his departure, during the National Television Awards ceremony, last Wednesday. He talks about various different things, the main one being his leaving from the show, along with his role in the new drama, Einstein and Eddington, and who he thinks should replace the Doctor in 2010. One of the things that was mentioned, though, on the subject of the new Doctor, they suggested Billie Piper to play him next, and if it was a good idea, to which David replied 'Why Not?!' Of course, many sources like newpapers and websites, have picked up on the story, like they usually do, making it into another big event, but not as much so as on the NTA awards speech. He was then asked whether a female could play the Doctor, to which he relied with the same comment. Of course, many fans are thinking this a very bad idea, but David says that anyone could take the role, and develop it in the way they want to. Billie Piper has also played the Doctor's companion, Rose Tyler, so unless there is some great explanation for it, or computer-generate a different head on top of Billie's, this is very unlikely to happen! The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith Part 2 - Synopsis

The synopsis for the second part of The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith, from the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, has been released today. It is the fifth story, episode ten of this series, and follows on from the first episode of the same story. The second part of it will first air on the CBBC channel on 24th November at 5:15pm, and then it will properly start on BBC One on 1st December at 4:35pm. You can view this part's synopsis below;

Clyde and Rani, trapped in a devastated alternative world with the survivors of mankind, make a desperate bargain with The Graske, in the concluding part of this two-episode adventure. Then Rani travels to 1951 to help Sarah Jane, who has been reunited with her long-lost parents. Sarah Jane needs to defeat the Trickster - but will the price she has to pay be too high? Clyde is played by Daniel Anthony, Rani by Anjil Mohindra and Sarah Jane Smith by Elisabeth Sladen.

Secrets of the Stars Part 2 - Your Thoughts

The sixth episode of Series 2 of The Sarah Jane Adventures was shown today on BBC One. This was the second part of Secrets of the Stars, and was shown at 4:35pm. If you were watching, you would seen members of different star signs get hypnotized one by one, a plot nearly foiled by a plug being withdrawn from it's socket and Luke's amazing power because he has no start sign. If you missed the episode, or would like to watch it again, if you haven't recorded it you can see both parts of it here on iPlayer, and click on the episode you want. But what did you think? The Mark of the Stars

Just a reminder to tell you that two new episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures will be airing this afternoon. The episodes are the second part of Secrets of the Stars, the sixth episodes of the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, and the first part of The Mark of the Berserker. Secrets of the Stars shall be shown on BBC One at 4:35pm on BBC One, but premiered on the CBBC channel last week. The first part of The Mark of the Berserker will follow the next week on the same channel, but you can view it a week earlier if you're a digital viewer on the CBBC channel, at 5:15pm today. After Broadcast, you will be able to watch both episodes and download them on BBC iPlayer. The trailers for both stories can be seen here and here. Next week, the first part of The Mark of the Berserker shall be shown on BBC One, and the second part of the same story shall premier on the CBBC channel. Will you be tuning in today?

Torchwood Wave 1 Figures - Packaging

Pictures of the packaging, thanks to SciFi Collector, for the new Torchwood figures has now been released. The first wave, which these pictures are of, consist of the figures Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper, Cyberwoman and a Weevil. Note that a packaging picture for Captain Jack has not yet been released. The packaging is quite different from the Doctor Who ones, and is mostly in a yellow colour, and has a picture of the character in the bottom left. The actual figure is in the middle and in blister packaging. The Torchwood logo is spread across the top with 'Poseable Action Figures' written underneath. The 'T' logo is also on it, in the middle. The figures are highly detailed, just like the Doctor Who ones, and are fully articulated. The pictures of all the figures can be seen here, on their website. What do you think?

Torchwood Magazine 10 - More Info

More information has been released on the new issue of Torchwood Magazine, issue 10. For those of you who were confused, because you haven't seen the latest issue anywhere, it is because at the back of last month's, they put the wrong date. It said 30th October, but it is in fact a week later than that, so it will be released this week on Thursday. So, below you can read more about it. The magazine will include all the latest information regarding the third series, an episode guide and posters.

October Statistics & 600 Posts!

Welcome to the new monthly feature, where you can find out broken records and basically just interesting things about adventures through time and space, during the month that's gone past. Well, firstly we've already reached 600 Posts, in under one month from 500!!! Not bad going there, so that's good news! The visitors have also got more records. We've now just broken the 30,000 page hit boundary, which is excellent. The number of visitors a day is also increasing. The number of unique visitors is very varied, but on Thursday we got over 200, but we've had much larger numbers over the last 31 days. On Wednesday, we broke the amount of page views in one day barrier, with 599 in just that day! The average page hits a day has also now increased to well over 400. And thank you to all those returning visitors out there, as in the past two days, we had just under 60! At the start of the month, we were just working towards 40 a day! In page news, the competition page is very active at the moment with an average of 2 new questions for A Classic Monster each day! Thank You to everyone who enters these! New banners have been put on all the pages, and series guides of all three shows updated into new separate pages. I hope you like them this way. Pages such as character guides, classic series and pictures will be updated some time in December when I have time, so don't think they are just sitting there for nothing! Until 8th November though, there will be a lack of updates, meaning no reviews, and not a lot of posts, so sorry about this, but exams come first. After this time, I will be writing site reviews you have asked for. The sidebar has had a bit of a change recently, with the search bar nearer the top, so you can find what you need easily. Polls will not be so frequent now, but I can assure you that there will be some in the future. 'SJA Watch' has turned into 'who's on tv?', so will consist of all three shows, and not just one, when they are on. A new feature is the recent page updates gadget. This, by the name, shows you what the latest updates to our site pages are, which should be useful, hopefully. The banner competition has now closed, but there are going to be two winners. This month, they will swap every week, so you can see both.

The Music is Downloadable Now!

Silva Screen Records have released the Series 4 Soundtrack on their website! It is avaliable to download at 79p a track (mp3), and the whole album for £7.99. If you want to get the music earlier this would be a great opportunity, but if you wanted the real CD as well, it would be a bit of a waste of money! So I would suggest if you want to have the music, only buy a very small number of your favourites! Others of you might just get this, and not the real CD when it comes out on 17th November this year, but that's your choice! I've downloaded some of my favourites, including Song of Freedom and a few others like The Rueful Fate of Donna Noble. From what I've heard already, it sounds amazing! You can pre-order the CD on the Silva Screen Website via here for £9.99 post free, or you can order it on Amazon here for £8.99! You cannot download this on iTunes at this stage. If you pre-order the whole CD to come to your door, then the great thing is it will come on the day of release or earlier! I'm not lying, as when i got my Torchwood Soundtrack, released in November, it came three days early! What will you do?

Tennant Coverage; Breakfast For David

The BBC have revealed that tenth Doctor, David Tennant, will be appearing on their Breakfast show on Monday. The actor, who recently revealed that he will be handing over the Tardis keys at te end of next year, has just won the award for Outstanding Drama Performance at the National Television Awards, on Wednesday. Tennant will be discussing his decision to leave the show this coming Monday, the 3rd, just after 8:30 in the morning. This interview will follow on from various videos and articles made after Wednesday. But it's not over for David yet, as we still have to look forward to this year's Christmas Special, The Next Doctor, and then another four hour-long specials after that.
