Backstage Competition Tour Video
The official Children In Need website have published a video on the behind-the-scenes tour. The tour was the winning result for 100 people who won a competition. Each person was allowed to bring three family members, so overall, there were 400 people there, excluded cast and crew. They went round all the sets like the interior of the Tardis, Torchwood Hub and Sarah Jane's Attic, meeting people like John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Russell T. Davies and others. I am certainly sure that everyone who won and went had an amazing and fantastic time, and I bet many are jealous of them. You can see this video here, and it plays for approximately three minutes, showing parts of the tour, including meeting of monsters and villains like Cybermen, Daleks, Ood, Scarecrows and Hath! What do you think?

The One, The Only And The Best...
Earlier tonight as part of the Children In Need, the first two minutes of this year's Christmas Special, The Next Doctor, was broadcast as a world-wide exclusive on the show. The Doctor arrived in Victorian England, on 24th December 1851, and visited a Christmassy market. He asked a boy the date, and then the year, to which the boy replied 'You thick or something?'. He heard a woman's voice calling for the Doctor, so he presumed it was him, so ran off towards the voice. He found a girl called Rosita, and she was confused as he said that he was the Doctor, when Rosita knew a different one. David Morrissey's Doctor runs on, claiming to be him as well. Morrissey's Doctor tells Rosita to go back to the Tardis, after asking for the sonic screwdriver. Tennant's Doctor also pulls out his sonic screwdriver and they are both menaced by a new terrifying Cybershade, in which the other Doctor says 'Oh, that's new!' Apart from David Morrissey's one was an actual screwdriver and they both shout Allons-Y, after which both Doctors give their other selves strange look. It was shown at around 9pm and just again recently just after 11:50pm. The preview is approximately 2 minutes and 20 seconds long, and you can view it below;

John Sings
Just a reminder that on Children In Need tonight, apart from the preview of The Next Doctor, John Barrowman will be performing his new single from his new album. John Barrowman for those of you that hadn't already guessed, plays Captain Jack Harkness in the new serie of Doctor Who. The song is called 'What About Us?', and it is from the album Music, Music, Music. The single will be released on Monday on CD and download and then the full album the week after, the 24th November, again on CD and for download. No official time of the performance has been released, but we can presume that it will be in the first half of the show, from 7-10pm.

Children In Need Night
It's Children In Need night tonight, so you know what that means, all you Whovians out there! So I'll firstly say that the first two minutes of this year's Christmas Special, The Next Doctor, shall be shown during the show, at apparently around 8-9pm. More likely nearer nine though. Nobody has seen this clip before (apart from the Doctor Who workers, obviously), so this is an exclusive. Last year, we had another Doctor Who-themed part of Children In Need. We had Time Crash, also an exclusive, when the fifth Doctor came back, 'crashing' into the tenth. But remember though, if you don't want to spoil Christmas day, turn your television off when they announce that it will come on (but you surely won't, will you?). To make a donation to Children In Need, visit here. The night happens every year, to have fun while raising money for charity. This year's motto is 'Do Something Different'. The show will go on from 7-10pm for the main part, and then 10:35pm-2am. It gets a little more boring in the second half though. Definitely after midnight. Here is a bit about the night, and have fun everyone!
Thousands of fund-raisers around the country have been doing their bit for the charity in recent weeks and tonight their efforts are celebrated with the traditional BBC extravaganza hosted by Terry Wogan, Tess Daly and Fearne Cotton. The evening is jampacked with pop star performances, while the cast of EastEnders turn into "West Enders" for the night and The Bill pop on suits and shades to become the Blues Brothers. As always the BBC newsreaders will be humiliating themselves for our entertainment, but can they better Richard Hammond and Philip Glenister with their spoof of Ashes to Ashes?

The New Doctor In Need
On Terry Wogan's morning show today, he revealed that the casting for the next Doctor might be revealed on Children In Need night. Terry has a major part in Children In Need, so if he says something like that, he most likely will not be fibbing. Of course, he didn't officially confirm that it would happen, just a possibility, so he's started thinking about it. It is not yet known, however, if Steven Moffat has chosen the next Doctor or not, but it could be too early to find out yet, so don't get your hopes up. Apparently, it might be a good fund raiser for the event, for charity, which makes it an even higher possibility that it will happen. Also, sources have picked up on an article in Doctor Who Magazine, way back in 1999, saying that Steven Moffat would prefer an older Doctor; more of a grandfather looking upon the universe, than a dashing, young hero. But since then, it is very likely that he has changed his mind, saying not so long ago that he would like to keep a younger actor in the role. Thanks is Outpost Gallifrey, we have a list of people that could play the Doctor, but be warned, a few of these have already been cast before, and some are just ridiculous, so don't think this is being entirely truthful. You can see this below;
- 2/1 David Morrisey
- 6/1 Paterson Joseph
- 8/1 James Nesbitt, Chiwetel Ejiofor
- 10/1 Russell Tovey, John Simm
- 12/1 Anthony Head
- 14/1 Robert Carlyle, David Walliams
- 16/1 Richard E Grant
- 18/1 Richard Coyle, Aidan Gillen, Alan Davies, Sean Pertwee
- 20/1 Jason Statham, Harry Lloyd, Nigel Harman, Marc Warren, Jack Davenport
- 25/1 Julian Walsh, Adrian Lester, Alexander Armstrong
- 33/1 Julian Rhind-Tutt, Rupert Penry-Jones, James McAvoy
- 40/1 Bill Nighy, Stephen Fry, Ben Wishaw
- 50/1 John Barrowman, Ben Miles, David Suchet, Hugh Laurie
- 66/1 Gary Oldman, Matt Smith, Paul Bettany, Joel Beckett, Christopher Eccleston
- 80/1 Alex Kingston, Dean Lennox Kelly, Christopher Villiers
- 100/1 Ricky Gervais
- 150/1 Hugh Grant, Russell Brand, Vinnie Jones
- 200/1 Robbie Williams

An Exclusive Scene For... Oh You Probably Already Know!
Well, a couple of hours late I guess as this news has been put up at literally everywhere I can find. And yes, that includes here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. Oh, and there is news of that exclusive scene here as well! Plus other places, in which I can't be bothered to link. See if you can find your site! Oh well, I'm still going to write about it anyway, and it's going to be different from everybody elses. Oh yes, because.... actually, no, it's going to be very similar - sorry! Today it was officially announced that one scene from this year's Christmas special, The Next Doctor, will be featuring on Children In Need as part of their annual telethon.
"This never-seen-before footage is a worldwide exclusive and will keep fans all over the globe wondering what's in store for the Doctor's next adventure."
This exclusive preview will be approximately two minutes long, and will be the start of the festive special. This will not be when the Cybermen arrive in the Tardis, that was originally going to be put at the end of last series' Journey's End, but has been edited out completely to when the Doctor first arrives in Victorian England. This scene will be broadcast on the Children In Need night on 14th November 2008, at 7pm. You can view two screen-captions of the preview below;

Who's Back For The Needy Children?
Well, the truth is, we don't know, but we do know, thanks to new reports emerging that there is going to be a special scene exclusively filmed for Children In Need this year, which will take place on the seventeenth of November. We first learnt this news from the BBC Press Office when they said 'There are some Children In Need-themed scenes from Doctor Who and Ashes To Ashes, a musical extravaganza from Albert Square, featuring the cast of EastEnders, and a special edition of Junior Masterchef.' Earlier this month, there were rumours of the seven remaining Doctors coming together, and earlier before that, it seemed like there was going to be a Doctor Who and Torchwood crossover, so what is it going to be about and who will it have in it? In the past, Doctor Who has influenced Children In Need nearly every year! There have been some a long time ago, featuring many of the old Doctors, but since 2005, there have been a few. The first one (2005) just after the Doctor had regenerated, and the second (2007), which was called Time Crash, where we saw the fifth Doctor run into the tenth. In 2006, there was also a special event. So, what's up this year? Also returning to the yearly event is Torchwood star, John Barrowman (aka Captain Jack) and he will be singing another one of his songs, most likely from his new album out next month, 'Music, Music, Music'. Last Year he performed 'Your Song', a track originally sung by Elton John.

7 For Needy Children
As previously reported, there is likely to be a Special Doctor Who Episode for this year's Children In Need Event. Originally, it was thought that Doctor Who and Torchwood were going to have a crossover, but recent reports have said stated different information regarding the matter. Newspaper Sources such as the Sunday Mirror and News of the World, have latched onto a story, in which the seven surviving actors who play the Doctor; Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. They will all reprise their roles, and hop back onto the Tardis set for a one-off special. In the past, there have been other stories in which multiple Doctors get together, like The Two Doctors or The Five Doctors. Just last year did Peter Davison come back, in Children In Need. You will probably think then that these are just rumours, but it has also been mentioned in the Daily Telegraph, which, in itself, is actually a very reliable source. Although it was just printed in a very small area, it could still mean it is true. Here is an extract from one source;
The actors are getting together for the BBC charity Children in Need in a programme to be broadcast on November 14.
An insider at the BBC said: "It's a pretty ambitious idea and it's still being finalised. Everything is being kept under wraps but Doctor Who fans are in for a big treat."
The first of the 10 actors to take the role was William Hartnell in 1963, followed three years later by Patrick Troughton and then by Jon Pertwee but all three have since died.
The seven survivors include Tom Baker, now best known as the voice of the comedy series Little Britain, who played the role for seven years from 1974.
He was followed by Peter Davidson from 1981 to 1984, whose daughter Georgia Moffett has also featured in the programme and who is now dating the current doctor, David Tennant.
The others are Colin Baker, from 1984 to 1986, Sylvester McCoy who had two stints from 1987 to 1989 and re-appeared in the role in 1996, Paul McGann, who took over the role in 1996 and Christopher Eccleston who reprised the series in 2005.
