At the start of last month, you might have seen the news titled 'October Statistics'. It had news about the site for the whole of October and things you may have found interesting. Now, there won't be that monthly feature as such, but it will now be an emailed newsletter, that you can sign up for. It will be longer, tidier, and hopefully very interesting! It will be written every month and be emailed to the list of recipients on the first day at the start of the month. The first newsletter in this format will be sent out on Monday, and it is currently in progress. So, I expect that you want to know the email address. Well, it's not the usual one. The address is: atts_newsletter@live.com
Email now to suscribe and receive it every month. If you accidentally do email the usual address, then it does not matter, you will still be put on the new one. You can sign up at any time you want. The Next Doctor - TV & Satellite Week

Radio Times are not the only ones with a Doctor Who Christmas Special-themed issue. TV and Satellite are on the matter too! The cover shows both Doctors, just like the Radio Times one, but not with a fold-out. Instead, they have Miss Hartigan and the newly-designed Cyber Leader on the same cover. The magazine was released today at the price of £1.10 (which is 5p more expensive than Radio Times, which is a whole lot better). Inside is a feature on the festive special, The Next Doctor, along with nine other great Christmassy programmes to watch! Below you can see the main cover, with part of the preview of the episode on one of the pages inside.

Nemonite & Allies

A new book and audio adventure have been planned for release next year. The book is a follow on from the series of books, which has had titles in the past like 'Monsters and Villains' and more recently 'Starships and Spacestations'. The new one is set to be called 'Companions and Allies'. Obviously, the book shall be comprised of fact files of many different friends the Doctor has had in the New, and also the Classic Series. This book hasbn't been officially confirmed yet, but it is very likely that it will go on sale sometime in the near future. The first three books in the series just covered the many Aliens and Creatures, but since last year they have moved on from that, with more variety. If it does go on sale, it will be RRP priced at £7.99, like ones before it. Another new product in a series is 'The Nemonite Invasion'. It is a new adventure for the tenth Doctor, exclusive to audio. This is the third story in the series, following on from 'Pest Control' and 'The Forever Trap'. Little is known yet about the product, like if the Doctor will be on his own, or with a companion, but we know that the writer is David Roden. More news on both these items when we get it!

Radio Times - The Next Doctor

We have been sent information and the cover of tomorrow's issue of the Radio Times. The issue is a Doctor Who special, with a fantastic cover. The main cover shows the Doctor and 'The Other Doctor' (David Morrissey) in a promotional picture, in a graveyard. You pull out an inside bit to 'find out who they are up against'. They are up against th Cybermen, of course! But also, Miss Hartigan. Is she the new leader of the Cybermen? Also on this part of the cover there is the slight redesign of the Cyber Leader, showing its brain and a black part of the face. The 'CyberKing' has yet to be revealed, but that should be worth waiting for! Of course, having a Doctor Who Radio Times tomorrow does not mean that is will be earlier than expected. It is just a preview, leding up to Christmas, like they do every year. There will be another issue, with something different the next week, then a bumper 2-week Christmas issue. Below, you can see the full cover, including the fold-out;

A preview for the issue has also been released, and you can view that below;

So this is Christmas. We’re at Cyber HQ in London 1851 - in reality a set at Cardiff’s Upper Boat studios in April 2008. This is Torchwood’s Hub cunningly redressed for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special as a sort of huge Cyber-Victorian engine - all cogs, chains, furnaces, pipes and steam. Think steampunk. Or a huge version of the board game Mouse Trap.

Street urchins are shovelling coal into buckets, pouring oil into funnels and trudging up and down rickety wooden stairs. “No smiling, please,” says director Andy Goddard. “You’re not supposed to be enjoying this. It’s hard and tiring. It’s the worst Christmas you’ve ever had.”

At the time of giving the Christmas special its title, The Next Doctor, Davies knew the news of Tennant’s departure would have become public [Tennant announced in October that he’s leaving after filming four more specials next year]. “Hopefully, that creates a bit more intrigue,” says Davies, “and hints at interesting developments in the show’s future. Let’s just say that regeneration is a complicated process, and never as simple as it seems.”

“The Doctors become great friends,” he says. “In this episode the Doctor [Tennant] doesn’t have a companion, which is rare, and my Doctor fills that gap. But all those questions my Doctor wants to ask about himself and his past have to be put aside to save London from destruction.”

Tennant and Morrissey have also worked together before - in the 2004 BBC1 drama Blackpool. “What David’s done with the Doctor is so special,” says Morrissey. “He has moved it on - not just the character, but also how he’s taken on the role publicly. We were filming in Gloucester with 400 people watching. When I got out of the car with David it was like being with a member of Take That! They were shouting, ‘We love you!’ and he was so warm-hearted towards them.”

Morrissey explains his approach to nailing his Doctor: “There has to be an inner truth for me, something at stake, and you have to play that for real.” So did any former Doctors influence his performance? “When I look at Tom Baker and William Hartnell, there’s a truth to their performances; Patrick Troughton as well. They never saw it as a genre show or a children’s show.

Would Morrissey consider a return to Doctor Who? “Oh yeah. Definitely. I love it. I’ve had a great time.” As speculation gathers pace about who’ll take over from Tennant, Morrissey is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the bookies’ favourite. “If they asked me back,” he says, with a twinkle in his eye, “I’d jump at it. I think it’s a great character, and I’ve loved every minute.”

The issue covers the week starting the 6th to the 12th of December. It costs £1.05, and should be avaliable at all good magazine retailers.

Radio Times Guides

Radio Times are doing their bit in the celebration of the forty five years of Doctor Who! They have started writing guides to the first episodes, with a very large amount of information included each episode. At the moment, there is every episode from An Unearthly Child to The Dalek Invasion Of Earth. We don't know yet if they will do any more, but we can assume that they will. Apart from that they’re also scanning in features from early issues of Radio Times magazine so that fans can enjoy them once more. Doctor Who plays a big part in the Radio Times. It is the main television programme part of the site! And you can see the 'Who' section here. To visit the episode guides, click here. Series 1 - 4 episode guides have already been completed.

Dalek Projections - Another Video

I have been linked to another Dalek Projections video. The last one, in an earlier post you can see here, had the video from the London projections, but this one is for Cardiff. The whole idea of the event was to publicise the release of the Series 4 box set, which was out on Monday 17th November. There was writing on the projections saying that it's out now. The video also shows this, but you can see the image moving. Enjoy the video!

Torchwood Magazine 12 - Press Release

Sorry about this being so soon after the last post, when there wasn't any press release, but now it has been released for you to enjoy. The main feature inside this issue is a look at the making of the Cyberwoman, seen in the fourth episode of the first series. The episode wasn't a massive hit, but you should be quite interested with this read. There are also games, quizzes, and a chat with the director of the five-part series, due to air next year in Spring, Euros Lyn. Below you can view this press release;

Doctored Footage!
The Children Of Earth team has ventured outside Wales for the second time, producer Peter Bennett has told Torchwood magazine, heading to Bristol to use the set of another popular BBC show: ‘After getting some spectacular footage in London, we also spent a day on the Casualty set. We couldn’t be there for any longer than that, because Sunday is the only day its free!’

Save Captain Jack!
Torchwood magazine brings you festive Torchwood fun in the new issue, with a pull-put-and-keep board game that’s perfect for post-turkey merriment. Captain Jack is trapped in the hub – can you beat your friends and avoid the pterodactyl to save him? Plus, test your knowledge of all things Torchwood in our fiendish seasonal quiz. Take a look below for more on the new issue’s other features and interviews.

Torchwood fiction and comic strip
There’s something fishy going on at the Sunny Bay Caravan Park. Could the mysterious Mr. Glee have something to do with it? Find out in part two of David Llewellyn’s The Book of Jahi, with fantastic illustrations by Mike Dowling. Plus, it’s the calm before the storm in the penultimate chapter of the Rift War saga by Paul Grist.

Action Man: Euros Lyn
As principal photography wraps on Children Of Earth and post production gets under way, we talk to the man who’s been calling the shots on set every step of the way. After cutting his teeth on some memorable episodes of Doctor Who, series director Euros Lyn reveals all about getting to grips with Torchwood: ‘It’s such an amalgam of genres, with lots of kitchen-sink realism mixed with some really epic, saving the world heroics. It’s also got a lot of humour and some wonderful, touching moments of personal relationships. It’s the strangest show I’ve ever worked on, to be honest, in that it combines so many different qualities.’

Precious Metal: Caroline Chikezie
There have been few guest characters in Torchwood as memorable and iconic as Ianto’s part cyber-converted girlfriend Lisa – aka Cyberwoman. Actress Caroline Chikezie stepped into the killer heels of this plug-in baby, and in the latest issue of Torchwood magazine she tells us all about it: ‘I love the scenes where she lifts people up and throws them around, and I felt like a King King-style character doing that. I also loved all that menacing Cyberwoman dialogue, and that self-assured look as she kicked everybody’s ass. She was so badass, it was amazing!’

Episode Guide: 1.4 Cyberwoman
In the depths of the Hub, Ianto Jones hides a terrible secret. Wired up to a bizarre life-support system, his girlfriend Lisa Hallett exists in a part machine state: the result of an incomplete conversion into a Cyberman. Though Ianto hopes Lisa can hang on to her humanity long enough for him to find a cure, her nascent Cyber programming is beginning to take hold, putting the whole team in mortal danger… Revisit series one’s Cyberwoman in this issue’s comprehensive Episode Guide, with trivia, commentary, credits, the best lines and the best scenes!

More Christmas News

Well, there is a bit more news on The Next Doctor today. There is a debate on the broadcast time of the Christmas special. Apparently, yes, it will still be on at 7pm on the 25th December, but then it is said that it will be on for an hour and a half, until 8:30pm! But Doctor Who Magazine and other places had it as just over one hour. So, what's happening. Then it has also been rumoured that the Doctor Who Prom may air in that time, but this is still unconfirmed. The lady wearing red, with a red umbrella (see last post) seems to be helping the Cybermen in some way. She is called Miss Hartigan, and she named the creatures as we see in the full trailer after David Tennant's leaving interview. So, who is she? We'll have to wait and see... Also, a new picture has been released, and shows both Doctors appearing in the episode, with the tenth Doctor, david Tennant, holding a fob watch! Is this his own? Didn't he give it to Tim Latimer in Series 3? Then is is 'The Other Doctor's'? Lots of questions, and many answers to be revealed on Christmas Day. View this picture below;

As the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is soon drawing to a close, what are we looking forward towards in the future? Well, the BBC have officially confirmed that there will be a third series of the show! It is said that it will be broadcast at the same time next year, Autumn 2009, but it has not been confirmed yet who will be returning. Sarah Jane will be, of course, but we are not sure about her younger friends. Luke is said to be thinking about leaving, and Rani is keen to carry on for another series. Below you can see the press release for the third series;

Prom Press Release

I recently had the news that the Doctor Who Prom will be airing on television around Christmas time, and now the complete press release has been put up on the BBC Press Office website. It is actually very likely that the Prom will air on Christmas Day, because in 2006, 'Music and Monsters', the special Confidential episode all about the concert held in 2006 in Cardiff's Millennium Centre, also aired on the day, but nothing has been confirmed yet. So, below you can see this information;

BBC One offers viewers the chance this Christmas to see highlights from the first Doctor Who Prom – one of the hottest tickets of the summer. Hosted by Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and with a surprise guest appearance by Catherine Tate (Donna Noble), this programme, filmed at the BBC Proms in July, is a musical odyssey through time and space.

With the Tardis on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall, the programme takes viewers on a journey through four series of the Doctor's adventures, and features the music that accompanied them – Murray Gold's celebrated music for the television series. Performed by the BBC Philharmonic and London Philharmonic Chorus, under the baton of Ben Foster, the music is accompanied by specially edited film sequences from the series.

One of today's featured highlights provides viewers with a chance to see the scene that was specially filmed for the BBC Proms. Music Of The Spheres, written by Russell T Davies and starring David Tennant – not to mention a mischievous Graske – left the audience spellbound and there is lots of audience interaction and laughter. The concert also brought the audience face to face with some of the Doctor's most fearsome adversaries – a host of monsters and aliens, including the Doctor's oldest enemies, the Cybermen, Davros and the Daleks.

Music featured in this Doctor Who Prom includes All The Strange, Strange Creatures; The Doctor Forever; Rose; Martha v The Master; The Daleks And Davros; Donna; Girl In The Fireplace; Astrid; This Is Gallifrey; Doctor's Theme/Song Of Freedom; Doomsday; and Doctor Who Theme.

Doctor Who At The Proms is simulcast on BBC HD – the BBC's High Definition channel available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media. With up to five times more detail than standard definition television, HD provides exceptionally vivid colours and crisp pictures to make Doctor Who At The Proms a truly cinematic TV experience.

The Next Doctor - Synopsis

Christmas is just under a month away, and so the BBC have released the synopsis for this year's festive special, The Next Doctor! The Next Doctor sees the return of one of the Doctor's greatest enemies, the Cybermen, as well as a different type of Cyberman, the Cybershades and a new-look Cyber Leader. David Tennant still plays the Doctor, and so will David Morrissey, but the exact information about that topic is being kept secret as of now. Below you can read this synopsis;
It's Christmas Eve in 1851 and Cybermen stalk the snow of Victorian London, in this special Christmas edition of Russell T Davies's Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama. When the Doctor arrives and starts to investigate a spate of mysterious deaths, he's surprised to meet another Doctor, and soon the two must combine forces to defeat the ruthless Miss Hartigan. But are two Doctors enough to stop the rise of the CyberKing?
A preview for the Christmas episode was shown on Children in Need on the 14th, and you can see that on an earlier post here. It has also been confirmed that The Next Doctor will definitely be broadcast on Christmas day, as the makers were not quite sure, and then rumours of it being different this year. But no, another ordinary Who-Xmas awaits...

The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith Part 1 - Your Thoughts

The ninth episode of Series 2 of The Sarah Jane Adventures was shown today on BBC One. This was the first part of The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith, and was shown at 4:35pm. If you were watching, you would have seen Sarah jane get tempted, see baby Sarah Jane and Big Ben up-close! If you missed the episode, or would like to watch it again, if you haven't recorded it you can see both parts of it here on iPlayer, and click on the episode you want. But what did you think? Say what you thought of the episode in the comments or in the chat box. If you were lucky enough to have digital viewing (like me!), then you would have seen the second part of the same story, but I won't say anything about that just yet on here for those of you who don't want to be spoiled.

The Series 1 Guide

Today, the Doctor Who BBC Site is being updated for Series 1. Last month, the second series was put on the site, after the third series just before that, and then after the fourth series, which had started in April. From April we have had many videos, pictures, concept designs and fact files, uploaded onto the site after each episode of Series 4. They promised earlier this year, that all series will be put on, and now we have the complete update, with nothing missing. Everything has been on the old site, which has been avaliable on the old site since the new one opened, and is still open to view now. There are lots new features, as well as the old stuff in the same format.  To visit the site, click here., or to visit the Series 1 guide, click here! The homepage now shows a great picture with monsters and an Earth background from the series, including the 9th Doctor and Rose.

In Their Own Words 5

The fifth volume of the special magazine series from Doctor Who Magazine has been released. Cover and information about the magazine has been released from the makers, Panini Magazines. The magazine series covers the Classic Series of Doctor Who, with interviews and great features, with much of the cast talking about their time on the show. This should be the second to last volume in the series, as it covers 1987 - 1996, after which the New Series occurs, and they will be doing another one for that next year. The main Doctors it covers are the seventh, Sylvester McCoy and the eighth, Paul McGann, as well as some contributions from Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison and Colin Baker, with an afterword written by Paul Cornell. You can view the cover above, and read some information about it below;
For almost 30 years, Doctor Who Magazine has documented the making of this unique television series, interviewing every major player, be they actors, directors, producers, designers, writers... even monsters! This Special Edition gathers together the best of these interviews, as the cast and crew themselves recall their part in the history of Doctor Who, making for a frank, forthright, and insightful memoir – in turns funny, poignant, and surprising. To illustrate their story, DWM has selected hundreds of amazing pictures – iconic images from the BBC archives, alongside less familiar shots from private collections.
In Their Own Words – Volume 5 covers one of the most creative and innovative periods in the history of the series, beginning with the first appearance of the Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy. It follows the events of the late 1980s, when the Doctor was redefined as being ‘more than just a Time Lord’ and a Machiavellian figure who was prepared to use his companion, Ace, as a pawn in his fight against evil. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, find out why powers at the BBC decided to end the run of the UK’s longest running science-fiction show – and how a new series of novels, a Children in Need Special, radio adventures and made-for-video productions filled the gap left behind by the TV series. And discover how the series made its comeback with Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor in the 1996 TV Movie – as Doctor Who simply refused to die.
Paul Cornell, author of the highly acclaimed Doctor Who stories Father’s Day (2005) and Human Nature/Family of Blood (2007), writes exclusively for the special on how the Sylvester McCoy era inspired him:
“I have a romantic attachment to the experimental nature of this era, to how much Andrew Cartmel [script editor] and his team were trying new ideas. To how young everyone was. I was captivated at the time by the ‘dark Doctor’ stuff, as in love with it as I was with the work of Alan Moore and Frank Miller, the zeitgeist beside which this direction made such sense. I waited urgently to see how the legend developed. I hung on the asides and hints, and filled in the gaps with my imagination. It was only the second time a production team had looked at Doctor Who since it began, and said ‘let’s try it in an entirely different way’.”
The magazine is out now at the price of £5.99!

A Few Noble Scenes

The Series 4 Box Set which was out on Monday contains a few deleted scenes, at various times throughout the series. There were two scenes that were deleted from Partners In Crime, and now with the new DVD, we can see them! So, below you can watch these. They are the same scenes that were on the DVD, with Bernard Cribbins, but originally Howard Attfield was to reprise the role of Donna's father, Geoff Noble, but sadly he was too unwell after these scenes to carry on with the part. After this, not too long after, Howard passed away. He played the same part in The Runaway Bride, an was going to do the whole of Series 4. When they decided he could not do it any longer, they had a great idea. Put Bernard Cribbins' role, Wilfred Mott, in as her grandfather! And so, it happened. Before the scenes, it has a little introduction with head writer, Russell T. Davies, which tells you more on the matter. So, the Geoff Noble Scenes...

The Scenes Come Buzzing Back!

The Series 4 Box Set which was out on Monday contains a few deleted scenes, at various times throughout the series. There were two scenes that were deleted from The Unicorn and the Wasp, and now with the new DVD, we can see them! So, below you can watch these. The first is from the start of the episode, in the future, when Agatha Christie was an old lady. She talks about trying to remember what happened with flashbacks. The second scene is from the end of the episode, when the Doctor and Donna go back to visit the old Agatha Christie. She remembers them, and they show her the book 'Death in the Clouds', which she wrote, published in the year five billion. These are really nice clips, which i think should have been included. Please note that these are not the complete originals from the box set. They have been slightly edited with music and sorts to make it look better, but it's still the same scenes. So, enjoy these clips below;

The Lost Boy is... Lost!

Last week, after several weeks of waiting for the repeats of the second half of the first series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, we had the repeat of Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?. The repeats were first cancelled due to repeats of Merlin. We thought that they would carry on wit the last story today, but in fact they are not. No episode shall be shown today, which was supposed to be 'The Lost Boy', as fans were expecting it. The episode may be shown at a later date, but this has not been confirmed. If there was going to be one sometime in the future, we can assume that it may be a bit of time away. We waited nine weeks for Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?!

Surviving an Interview

The Daily Telegraph yesterday posted an interview with Freema Agyeman, who played Martha Jones in two series of Doctor Who, and also three episodes of Torchwood. You can read the interview on The Daily Telegraph website here, and they talk about many things related to Doctor Who and her new role in Survivors (see lower down). They also talk about her role in Little Dorrit that is on television at the moment, on BBC One. Below you can read a short snippet;

Survivors’ dystopian world sounds much more frightening than even the scariest scenarios in Doctor Who. “Doctor Who was a good warm-up,” Agyeman says. “You’d be running around on the edge of cliff, chased by someone holding a fake monster on the end of stick. At first you would feel silly, but you quickly learn to go for it, to feel the terror of the moment. In Survivors, although it is much more serious, I tried to imagine the loss and loneliness Jenny is feeling in that moment.”
Starring Freema, Survivors starts tonight on BBC One for a six part run. It is on from 9:30pm to 10pm, and she plays a teacher called Jenny Collins. The programme is a remake of the original that was broadcast back in 1975-77. The first series was created by Terry Nation, who also wrote many episodes of Doctor Who in the Classic Series, and he also created the Daleks! Will you watch Survivors tonight?

45 Years of Time Travel

Think back... forty-five years ago... not a special date to people of the time... but the birth of a legend... a Time Lord... from the planet Gallifrey... a man... called... the Doctor...
We're only five years away from the big 50, but 45 seems to also be a big number. On this day, as you might have guessed, forty-five years ago, the first ever episode of Doctor Who broadcast on television, with the story 'An Unearthly Child'. How many of you viewing this site now were alive then, sitting down to watch this strange show, just after 5:15pm on the 23rd November in the year 1963? Does that seem a long time ago? Or feel like no time at all? Then back to now, in 2008. The last full episode we have watched is Journey's End that received a fantastic number of viewers, hit the number one spot on television for that week, and the whole show is more popular than it has ever been! Doesn't this make you proud of the show we are now part of in some way? Well, it should!
Since 1963, we have seen 10 Doctors, 9 regenerations, 202 stories, scary and tremendously designed monsters, companions come and go, so much excitement, too much to write, and of course, the Doctor's Tardis. Along with the show itself, the Tardis appeared in the first episode, and has been in most since (or mentioned). Sometimes, though, the 3rd Doctor had to go without it while he was stuck on Earth. The exterior has mostly stayed the same, but the interior (bigger on the inside, in case you hadn't noticed) has changed a lot. Now with a 'coral' layout, it looks amazing. The Doctor has been played by ten actors at the moment. They are William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. They have all had their own different personalities.
Doctor Who hardly stopped on television up until 1989, when after the first seven Doctors, the show just suddenly stopped. many people thought from then on, there would be nothing. They thought that it was the end of Doctor Who, but they were very wrong. Well, they were right up until 2005, as the TV Movie in 1996 wasn't really a proper Doctor Who 'on tv' show. It was just one night, made by America, with a completely new Doctor and companion, and then nothing happened at the end of that. In the early 2000s there were rumours about the show returning with a head-writer called Russell T. Davies, who had previously written Queer as Folk. Yeah yeah, good joke... In fact it wasn't! The series was confirmed later to be returning in 2005, but nobody really knew what to expect. For once, no wobbly sets, some very professional acting and loads of money poured into the show. Many people thought it was only going to last a year, but then Series 2 came and went, then Series 3 and now Series 4, and now it's the best programme ever (in a Whovian's mind)!
I don't really know what else to put. I haven't had enough time to think about something really special for this post, but go and do something fun today!
And so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOCTOR WHO!!!!!
Just wait for 50 years... but will this site still be running? Who knows!

45 Years - What Will You Do?

As the time to celebrate forty-five years of Doctor Who is so very close away (Sunday), we would like to know if you will be doing anything special or something for this important date for Doctor Who. We would really like to know, as I'm sure many people may be doing a few different sort of things on Sunday. You might be just dressing up as the Doctor, making monsters, or even devoting your whole day to the show, maybe seeing how many episodes you can fit in on one day! I hop you all have a good time, and there will be a post on Sunday morning about the event. No official events have actually been confirmed, and we'd know about them sooner if there was, so we can guess we have the day to ourselves. Put you thoughts and ideas of what you will be doing in the comments, and you may be mentioned on the post on Sunday!

Einstein and Eddington Today

Today the new BBC film will be airing on BBC Two, named Einstein and Eddington. This is a little bit off the topic of Doctor Who, but there hasn't been a lot of news recently. David Tennant plays the second main role in the story, Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington, and Andy Serkis (who is at this time appearing in Little Dorrit with Freema Agyeman, Eve Myles and Russel Tovey) plays Albert Einstein. The film will be broadcast today at 9:10pm to 10:40pm tonight, therefore being one and a half hours long on BBC Two. It is directed by Philip Martin and written by Peter Moffat. Other stars in Einstein And Eddington include Jim Broadbent, Lucy Cohu, Jodhi May and Rebecca Hall. Below you can read the synopsis of the story;

Albert Einstein (Serkis) spent years working on his General Theory of Relativity, which threatened to overturn two centuries of Newtonian certainty and the foundations of British science. Arthur Eddington (Tennant) was a prominent British astrophysicist who, as a Quaker, believed that "truth knows no boundaries" and bravely championed Einstein’s theories while Britain rejected anything German.
In 1919, Eddington undertook an expedition to Africa to photograph light bending round the sun during an eclipse. These photographs not only proved the theory to be correct, but turned Einstein into a worldwide superstar.

Dalek Projections - Pictures and Video

I have been very kindly sent pictures and a video of the Dalek Projections that were seen in London and Cardiff recently, mentioned in a post not long ago. Credit goes to the Ministry of Experince, who organised the projections and to 2|Entertain. The pictures show the Supreme Dalek on many buildings around Cardiff and London, and the whole idea of the event was to publicise the release of the Series 4 box set, which was out on Monday. There was writing on the projections saying that it's out now. The video also shows this, but you can see the image moving. So, below you can see the pictures first, and the video at the bottom. Please DO NOT use these pictures or the video without permission from it's owners i.e. Ministry of Experience or 2|Entertain. I will not be to blame if you do. But, enjoy!

Doctor Simm?

Life on Mars star, John Simm has been interviewed lately, and has hinted that he would like to portray the Doctor in the near future. Please note before any further reading that this is just a rumour! Simm played the Master at the end of the third series of Doctor Who, but it is still unknown whether he will come back in that same role of not. There has been much speculation around over the past weeks on who will play the new Doctor, but the BBC is tight-lipped about anything yet. What he said in the interview was;

Has the Beeb asked him to be Doctor Who?
“I'm the Master. Simple as that. I don't want to be Doctor Who. I might be the Master again... I'm not allowed to say.”
Because the Master died in Series Three, this makes it more open for him to tke the role, because the Doctor could regenerate into anyone. But it is still very unlikely that he will. He wants to be known was the Master. Simply that. If he takes the role of the Doctor, it just wouldn't look right or make any sense. To read this interview, click here.
Other new-Doctor rumours state that Paterson Joseph, now star of the new remake of Survivors (with Freema Agyeman), has said that he might quite like to play the role. This started before the Colin Salmon rumour, and Joseph was the first black Doctor to be speculated. There is no reason now why the Doctor can not be black, and with the developing world we live in, this possibility grows ever more likely. He said “His [the Doctor's] parameters are so vast. I don't see why he can't have more regenerations than the 13 that those who know think a Time Lord can have."
What do you think of this news?

Backstage Competition Tour Video

The official Children In Need website have published a video on the behind-the-scenes tour. The tour was the winning result for 100 people who won a competition. Each person was allowed to bring three family members, so overall, there were 400 people there, excluded cast and crew. They went round all the sets like the interior of the Tardis, Torchwood Hub and Sarah Jane's Attic, meeting people like John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Russell T. Davies and others. I am certainly sure that everyone who won and went had an amazing and fantastic time, and I bet many are jealous of them. You can see this video here, and it plays for approximately three minutes, showing parts of the tour, including meeting of monsters and villains like Cybermen, Daleks, Ood, Scarecrows and Hath! What do you think?
